The Lothian Wing

The Lothian Wing wing was built on the original foundation stones of the 17th century kitchens, to serve as the private apartment of the late Lord and Lady Lothian. The addition initially had a thatched roof until in recent years when replaced by tiles. The doors and window frames complement the existing castle so the Lothian Wing blends in perfectly. Some original features remain; one of the great ovens can still be seen in the modern kitchen area and the downpipe is decorated with the ‘Sun in Splendour’, the Clan Crest of the Kerrs.

The Wing is available for rent independently from the Castle if required. It can accommodate six people on a self-catering basis. Price per night is £285 (plus vat when applicable). The minimum stay is three nights.
